HM Solutions, Inc, a successful and growing facilities service company, is seeking a professional Operations Manager to plan, direct and coordinate operations for our Southern Region accounts. Our current footprint in the Southern Region includes South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia Responsibilities include:

-          Must be flexible and willing to travel extensively as this position is required to visit multiple facilities every week.

-          Improve operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.

-          Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability

-          Perform quality controls and monitor day-to-day operations within various accounts

-          Recruit, train, supervise and monitor all employees in the Region

-          Respond to customer and management needs/requests/complaints

-          Budget development and oversight experience

-          Basic IT skills (databases, MS Office etc.)

-          Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

-          Strong working knowledge of OSHA requirements and standards

-          Leadership and organizational skills

 

Other General Duties:

-          Interview applicants, assist with new employees' (management) training and prepare performance reviews.  Issue reprimands, counsel employees about their performance, determine whether additional training is required or, if necessary, terminate employees.  

-          Whenever necessary may also need to assist workers/managers to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.  

-          Ensure that the facilities in your region are cleaned correctly and according to the customer's expectations or standards.   

-          Inspect the facilities to determine any unusual or cyclical work that needs to be done, such as periodically stripping floor wax, cleaning overhead light fixtures or shampooing carpets, working within the SOW for each specific location.  

-          Follow up on client complaints about missed or improperly cleaned areas. Investigate the complaint and takes steps to ensure that the problem is resolved and will not recur.  

-          Should understand and know how to use the tools and equipment needed for the job, such as carpet cleaners, floor polishers, steam cleaners and commercial washers and dryers.   

-          Understand proper way to clean and dispose of biological waste and ensure that workers use the proper protective gear when cleaning potentially hazardous areas.   

-          Must be effective communicator who can explain tasks to staff, have good time-management skills and able to prioritize tasks in a logical manner. Facilitate communications between employees and may assist in resolution of disputes.  

-          Need to be physically able to perform any cleaning chore required when assisting or training staff.
